Winter Sports Banquet

The 2010 Winter Sports Banquet scheduled for February 24^th has been canceled because of the amount of games that have to be rescheduled. The banquet will be rescheduled, but we do not know the date at this time.

Dundalk Beats Randallstown 8-0

The Boy’s Varsity Soccer team won their regional quarterfinal game against Randallstown 8-0. Ricky Ellis and Chuck Rappazzo had two goals each. Nick Petro, Alex Diaz, Mike Thompson, and Nate Brennan all added a goal. Sam Jackson had two assists and Eric Wondee and Mike Thompson also had an assist.

Second Game, Second Win Against Rival Patapsco!

The Owls quarterback Alvin Thomas rushed 67 yards and the team three touchdowns that led to the win for Dundalk against Patapsco. “Our offensive line was doing a great job, everyone in front of me was getting knocked down,” Thomas stated. The last three years Patapsco won each game against Dundalk. The Owls had victory against Patapsco in 2005. “We knew we could beat Patapsco this year. We were waiting for this game all week,” stated Thomas. The game was held at CCBC turf field in drizzling rain. Johnathan Bynaker got Dundalk in the lead to victory in the first quarter by intercepting a pass and returning it 35 yards for a touchdown. Patapsco fumbled the ball as Bynaker received the ball for Dundalk, which led the one-yard touchdown by Thomas. “The football team is starting out 2-0, confidence is high, we just need to do our jobs and we will be successful in the rest of our games,” stated Bynaker. Ndidi Ibe came through down the middle with another touchdown that topped off the game. Coach Downes stated, “The last touchdown took something out of those guys, but they never quit, that’s for sure.”

A Big Win For The First Game of the Season

Corey Mack of Dundalk High darts down the sideline for a 38yard touchdown, while teammate Johnathan Bynaker blocks a Dulaney defender, which started Dundalk’s rise to victory. The game was held September 4, 2009 at CCBC on the new turf field. Both teams were very intense in the beginning, as both teams really showed they were there to win the first game.

Johnathan Bynaker of Dundalk stated, “When I first walked out on the field as a captain my goal is to bring something to the team no other player can. Motivation is what we need when I motivate the team I can tell the confidence level shoots high and we play with a big heart.” Corey Mack broke a couple tackles and had the end zone,as Jawaun Lipscomb made a touchdown run. Jawaun stated, “I like the team that we have built this year and the first game was definitely a lot of fun.” Dundalk might not have beat Dulaney last year, but they have a stronger team this year.

The squad really showed Dulaney how intense and ready they were to win. Ndidi Ibe made the winning touchdown as he dashed through defenders on a five-yard run. “It was a well played, hard thought, and very enjoyable game that got us off to a good start,”stated Coach Powell excitedly.
